#MGCarousel Book Bingo – January & February 2025

How Does It Work?

Our book bingo card contains 25 squares with prompts relating to things from Middle Grade books. Try and cover 5 squares in a line—up, down, or diagonally—or aim to fill the whole card if you’re a speedy reader.

Download the graphic, share your reading progress using our hashtag (#MGCarousel) on social media, and have fun! A transcript of the Bingo table is available as well.

Rules

1. All books added to your bingo card should be Middle Grade reads. Find out more about Middle Grade books here.
2. Each square needs to be filled with a unique book. You cannot use the same title more than once on your bingo card, even if it fits multiple themes. Choose wisely!
3. This edition of our Middle Grade Book Bingo challenge runs January 1 to February 28.

Book Bingo Transcript

Squares are arranged in 5×5 formation, making 25 in total. A letter and number indicate their placement:

A to E = horizontal rows, placed top to bottom.
1 to 5 = vertical columns, placed right to left.

Combine the letter and number to find the placement of each square on your Bingo card (example: Square A1 is the leftmost square in the top row.)

• Row A
  1. vehicle on the cover
  2. blue cover
  3. ‘ice’ or ‘snow’ in the title
  4. someone swimming on the cover
  5. weather word in the title

• Row B
  1. ‘hero’ in the title
  2. wings on the cover
  3. landmark on the cover
  4. title begins with the letter ‘S’
  5. ‘many’ or ‘all’ in the title

• Row C
  1. title begins with the letter ‘K’
  2. one word book title
  3. (center of the board) pick your own prompt
  4. title begins with the letter ‘E’
  5. a cape on the title

• Row D
  1. ‘fly’ in the title
  2. title begins with the letter ‘N’
  3. someone’s name in the title
  4. glowing on the cover
  5. wheelchair on the cover

• Row E
  1. red cover
  2. ‘up’ or ‘away’ in the title
  3. paranormal
  4. a book about adoption
  5. title begins with the letter ‘A’
