Book spotlight for Middle Grade Carousel August 2024: Great to Have Every Body features the book THE MORTIFICATION OF FOVEA MUNSON by Mary Winn Heider.

The Munson’s own a cadaver lab where they perform surgeries on dead bodies. Which means Fovea is stuck working at the lab instead of going to summer camp. But she is by no means Dr. Frankenstein’s snuffling assistant! She’s nobody’s Igor!

That is, until three disembodied heads, left to thaw in the wet lab, start talking. To her. Out loud. And they need a favor.

Book spotlight for Middle Grade Carousel August 2024: Great to Have Every Body features the book ALL OF ME by Chris Baron.

Although he’s carrying a lot, the only thing anyone notices about Ari is his weight. After moving across the country, Ari is relentlessly bullied. But he can’t tell his parents—they’re simply not around enough to listen. His bohemian mother needs space to create, and his father is often absent. And no crash diet or punishing routine can lighten Ari’s load.
